If you are actively logged onto windows, you may right click the "My Computer" Icon and select the properties tag. On the arriving window, the default tab selection should be on "general" if so, the answer you request is listed there. If the "general" tab is not selected, please do so and then follow the above listed instructions.

- Click the Start Button (bottom-left of your screen)
- Right-click where it says 'My computer'
- In the drop-down list, select 'Properties'

∙ 14y agoUsually under the start menu of your computer there are options such as: about this computer, system preferences, or even the actual software you are using on the computer. You should be able to find out what type of computer you have by looking at one of those. or you can always search the code that is usually somewhere on the computer and type that into Google and find out which type of computer it is.
(The code, on a desktop, is usually in the back of one of the pieces.)
