Routers generally come with a default username and password. This changes from maker to maker, and the only way to know for sure is to look in the manual, but you might try admin:admin.
Also, if the admin username and password has been changed you may need to re-set the router to factory defaults which will of course reset the admin account to the default as well. Once again, this process changes from maker to maker & model to model so you will need to consult the user manual.

∙ 12y agoYou can view/configure your router settings by entering the router's IP address in your browser (usually 192.168.0.1) and entering the password. The default password and IP address are usually on the bottom or side of the router, or on the documentation that came with it.

∙ 13y agoIn the case of a Cisco router, there is a procedure called "password recovery". It doesn't really recover or find out the password; the whole point of the procedure is to set a new password, without losing the router configuration. This procedure requires physical access to the router; it can't be done over Telnet for example. Search the cisco website to find instructions for specific models.

∙ 13y agoI don't know whether there is a send user name to email or Send password to email but that would work. When you joined you should've wrote it down somewhere that you would remember where it was. Choose and easy password and user name to remember like mine. If it it a member and you don't have a clue about anything then you have to cancel your membership and your account and make a new one. I had a penguin and I forgot what the password was so I made another one and it's a member now. My user name is Bluesky7112 and all my friends remember it and so do i because I use the password and user name for everything I go on like panfu and stuff like that.

∙ 11y agoYou will need to log into your router using the appropriate IP address. For my D-Link router, I log in by putting 192.168.0.1 into the address line of my web browser. Once I have logged into the router, I find the SSID on the 'Status' page. The IP address and the location varies with the router manufacturer.
If your router is wireless, you will be presented with your station's SSID as a network option as you connect with a wireless device. If you aren't sure if it is your SSID, unplug your router and see which one disappears.

You should have the router software in your computer. Go into the router software and try to find out your router password that way. If it isn't there, try looking for something that you wrote the password on (a piece of paper, etc.). If you still cannot find the password, you are out of luck in trying to figure out the password.
