Once you have acquired basic pysanka-making skills, you may wish to acquire more advanced skills. There are several ways to do this: 1. Step by step instructional DVDs. Several pysanka artists have created and sell DVDs which cover both basic and advanced techniques. It may be worthwhile to invest in one of these and study it. 2. Books. The Ukrainian Gift Shop and Helen Badulak have put out books on pysanka making which cover both basic and advanced techniques. It is worth reading and studying these. 3. Join an egg art group, either locally or via the web. Not only can you get valuable tips from your fellow members, but you can find out if any of them teach advanced classes, either for groups or private tutoring. Web groups such as Yahoo's Eggs-Pysanky also have large archives of material worth exploring. 4. Check out pysanka artist web sites. Some offer classes, and will mention this on their sites.
