Unlocking means gaining access to the device you are using. You need to press the 4-digit number to unlock the device and it starts functioning.

∙ 10y agoNEW mobile phone PIN's are usually set to either 0000 or 1234. It will be stated in the instruction manual somewhere. After that - the PIN will be whatever the user has changed it to. There is no way to find out what the PIN is on your own. The service provider might be able to help you if you've 'locked' the handset by entering the wrong PIN too many times. However - you will need to prove you are the legal owner before they will unlock it !
