Looking at the top drivers side of the radiator there will be a hose coming out between the Power Steering reservoir and the drivers side battery. The hose will have have plastic ends on it and it will lead down behind the EGR cooler. To release the hose you'll have to pull the metal rings out of the plastic fitting on the hose. The other side of the hose will not be easy to get to seeing how its behind the EGR cooler.
follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the motor and that's where you'll find it
Look in the housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose

Yes, but if you don't drain it down below the level of the upper hose coolant will run everywhere when you remove the hose.

follow the upper radiator hose where it goes into the top of the motor and it will be right there.
If your truck is overheating!!! Then check the upper radiator and lower radiator hose's , if the lower is cooler the the upper the either the thermostat is not opening or the radiator is clogged

Upper is hose connected to top of radiator, lower is hose connected to bottom of radiator.
In most cases if your follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine, the thermostat would be located inside the "gooseneck" at the engine end of the upper hose.
