How do you find your identical twin?

To look like you have a twin, follow these simple steps:

1.) Make up a story that your "twin" has been in boarding school overseas since she was three, or something like that, so people realize why they've never seen him/her before.

2.) Change an element. Have one twin wear fake glasses and a pony-tail while the other one has their hair down and no glasses.

3.) Make a personality. Make sure the twin has a different personality, thoughts, hobbies, and a voice than you do.

4.) Change your house. Put pictures of you and your twin throughout (you can do this in PhotoShop), make a bed for the twin.

5.) Trade off. Don't do days when the one twin is there for a whole day and then the next twin is there another day. Have both twins come around during the same day.

6.) Think of a good name. Find the perfect name for your twin by making sure it doesn't resemble or sound like yours.

7.) Your family. Make sure your family knows when, where, and what to call you. Make sure they know whats going on and what the story is.

8.) Make it sound convincing. Don't stutter or say "um..." when you are talking about your twin. Don't say it too fast, but talk normally.

9.) Do it over summer vay-cay. Have your twin "arrive" in early summer, so people will get to know him/her before school starts. Make sure your twin is a genius or has a learning issue, so they have to go to a different school than you so teachers and friends aren't confused.

10.) Have two different phone numbers, email addresses, friends, and lives. Make sure you get your twin an email address and a phone number. Also have different friends than your twin do you both don't have to show up at the same place at one time.

There are two primary types of twins, Identical and Fraternal.

Identical twins occur when the egg splits after fertilization. To date no indication of a genetic link has been found. Anyone has a chance, though small, of having identical twins.

Fraternal twins occur when more than one egg is dropped during ovulation. This trait can be inherited from the mother's side of the family. Studies have shown that the chances are also increased by being overweight or older. Fertility drugs also make this more likely to happen.
