- Take the yarn and tie a loop around your thumb
- Weave the yarn in and out of your fingers (but not your thumb) until you have two lines of yarn showing on your fingers on both sides.
- Take the bottom "line" of yarn on your index finger and pull it over your finger, taking it up above the first line. That loop of yarn should now be on the back of your hand. Repeat with all your fingers
- Weave the yarn in and out of your fingers again until there is another line. Continue for as long as you want or until you run out of yarn. A nice rope-like structure of yarn should form at the back of your hand.
- To finish, take the bottom line of yarn on each finger and do as before so there is only one line in the front. Cut the yarn, leaving some extra length, and pull it through the loop on each finger.
- Tie a knot at both ends
- Gently slide each loop off each finger one at a time.
