On my Mercedes sprinter the cause of the fan belt vibration at low idle speed was the pully on the alternator. This pully should ratchet in one direction.
You can find a diagram for fitting a fan belt on a Mercedes 308D Sprinter in the owner's manual. You can also find it at select auto part stores.
Take it to a mercedes garage
The fan belt is fit onto a Mercedes Vito by loosening the alternator bracket and allowing it to move downward. The belt can then be slipped over the remaining pulleys and then back over the alternator.
How much it is going to cost
on a 2007 the fan has to come off mine is in shop now getting done 3.8 billable houres
The diagram has to be printed somewhere. Some cars have a label in the engine compartment, some drawing in the manual. The rule of thumb is that the crankshaft pulley needs to have about 180 degrees loop of belt on it. So looking on the engine from front and going clockwise the belt goes under the crankshaft pulley, wraps it toward 2 o'clock, where usually is a tensioner on idler pulley, than goes back toward 8 o'clock, loops on whatever is there and than wraps around all the pulleys on the engine. http://www.benzworld.org/forums/general-mercedes-benz/1429423-sprinter-fanbelt.html
Have you checked your owners manual? Surprisingly this was listed in mine but I have an older model.
fit a socket to the nut on the tensioner and turn it anti clock wise.slip the drive belt of. put the new belt in place . turn the nut anticlock wise an d fit new belt
turn the bolt in the centre of the tensioner pully anti clock wise. the belt slakens and can be remove.put new be;t in place slack the tensioner and slip new belt in place
