most likely needs new bearing on the steering shaft inside the steering column. easiest to get specialist to do it
If it is excessive, often times the case needs replaced. Not an easy task but do-able. Some special tools, other than a steering wheel puller, are required.

Unfortunately not. Being a tall individual, with lengthy legs, i sure wish it did.
There are four bolts inside the column that have probably come loose and backed out. You must pull the steering wheel, turn signal assmebly etc until you get down to those bolts. Tighten them up, put it all back together and you should be good to go.

If you have a tilt steering column the movement is caused by the tilt mechanism literally coming apart. I had several cars with that problem, I went to a junkyard and bought replacement columns that were in good condition and replaced the entire column.
By using the tilt feature.

You have to remove your steering wheel. and then all other covers related to stopping you from getting to the four bolts that keep the tilt tight or you could have a broken bolt. but first things first you have to get to the bolts if not broken all you have to do is tighten them and you will be ready to roll. (there are four bolts)
