Your xbox 360 is not reading your disk what do you do?
Seems like the disk drive (and/or laser) has broken. Before fixing this issue, try and clean your disk drive lens laser with a disk cleaner. Hopefully in your case the laser is just dirty. Always make sure that the video game disk is clean as well, any scratches will cause the disk to not read properly. If the disk drive as broken, you can either send it back to Microsoft or fix it yourself by buying the drive on ebay and replacing it yourself.

Does a system disk have to be a floppy disk?
No. A "system disk" is simply any disk which the computer can boot from and has an operating system installed on it. In most modern computer systems, the hard disk is normally the system disk. However most systems can also boot from a floppy disk, a cdrom, or even a USB thumb drive, providing of course that the media in question has the necessary system files on it. Many older systems did not have the ability to boot from the cdrom drive or USB drives. On these systems the only options were booting from the hard disk or floppy disk, so if the OS hadnt been installed to the hard disk yet (or it was broken) the only other option was the floppy disk.

How do you fix an Xbox 360 that can't read a disk?
If it can't read any disks your CD drive is broken; if it's only on some disks then your disk drive is very fragile. Make sure you are only putting in 360 games, DVDs and music CDs. If you have a hard drive original xbox games if its on one disk then the disk has a problem you can go to the xbox website to see if a disk has a known problem.
What are disadvantages of a phonograph?
The phonograph is a mechanical system. Dirt in the groove on the disk will cause unwanted noise. The disks are delicate and can be easily broken or damaged. A needle (or stylus) has to touch the disk inside the groove, this can cause wear of the disk and diminish fidelity of subsequent playing. The speed of the disk has to be regulated to get the right pitch of original recording. Noise in the motor bearings can be transmitted through the disk and come out in the final sound.
