Kinda confused on where? Is it a hose connector or the metal connection on the front top of engine, where the 2 nuts hold the connection on?
Generally if its a hose area that is eaten out by corrosion then you need to either replace the fitting or repair the metal with a product like JB WELD. If its the area where a fitting comes together at a joint, then you need to either replace the gasket or clean the parts good and put a gasket maker silicon on it before it gets put together.
is coolant leaking from engine?or is it leaking from water pump and running down engine and appears to leak from engine
If a vehicle is loosing coolant then there is a leak. If no leak is visible then the coolant could be leaking into the oil, or leaking into a cylinder and being blown out through the exhaust.
Coolant leaking into any cylinder is a clear indication that the head gasket has blown.
You will know if you have a leaky water pump because it will be leaking coolant out of the water pump.
Is it leaking from the side by the coolant reservoir?
Your coolant pump is behined the fan, you will have to replace the water pump.
Intake manifold is leaking, or worse, cracked cylinder most likely tho, the intake manifold.
Various possibilities including thermostat, low coolant, weak coolant, cylinder head gasket, cylinder head. could aso be your electric fan not working leaking heater core!
Leaking heater core
It could, if enough coolant leaks into the cylinder to hydraulicaly lock it.
white smoke out tailpipe.............coolant in engine oil looks like a chocolate milkshake
I doubt the cylinder wall would be leaking coolant. More likely the head gasket is bad or the head is cracked. When the engine is warmed up and running, a white sweet smelling smoke will come out of the exhaust. The white smoke is a tell-tale sign of an internal coolant leak.
