Remove the shower head. Cut on the water. If the open pipe provides water than use a rust remover in your shower head or replace it.
ANS 2 - If that doesn't work, shut off water at stop valves or even main if necessary, then remove the handle and valve body from shower. Look carefully for sediment or rust plugging up the top orifice. -That's almost always the solution in cases where it stops suddenly. If the shower head plugs up it generally happens gradually over days or even weeks.
