You need to remove it then reinstall it
Restart your device by pressing and holding the home button and the lock button at the same time for ten seconds.
When it freezes hold down the power button (the one at the top) and the home button for about 10 seconds or until the apple symbol shows up on the screen. Your ipod will restart and it should be fine.
