My 406 has been doing the same. My solution is to just spray wd40 into the lock. Works everytime. After a few months it starts again so just keep repeating the process.
You use your key to unlock the door. Then it will be open. If not, a locksmith can help.
Is it the lock button on top of the door or the latch that holds the door shut? If its the latch just pull door handle then flick catch back round with a screwdriver. Its a C lock that spins round when door shuts locking the door in place, when handle is pulled, the C lock is released and spins back with the effort of the door opening. Hope this helps
We had the same problem. We had to remove door panel and replace rivet which holds the lifter arm with a screw. The rivet broke when one person was trying to open the door at the same time someone was trying to unlock it.
On my 1997 Discovery trying to unlock any door other than the driver's door sets off the security alarm, so I would not count on unlocking all doors from the rear door.
how do you unlock the door under the hay
I think you are trying to say " unlock"? If so push the unlock button on your key fob a second time. That is a security feature, one push unlocks only the drivers door, that way nobody can gain access to your vehicle while you are trying to enter it.
you hit the unlock door button twice.
Unlock it from inside the car with the door lock.
to unlock the door you have to complete the entire board
Its located on rear door. Look to the outside edge.its a black round plastic piece about the size of a quarter with a slit in it. Just turn it to lock and unlock.
Use the door handle.
You have to unlock the car doors for the filler cap door to unlock. This means ALL of the doors, not just the drivers.
