If the drain plug is leaking its the rubber bushing around it probaly and they are only three dollars for a new one. You should change your oil when you relace it.

The oil pump is inside the engine under the oil pan.
The thermostat should be on the top of the engine under the water inlet. Drain the radiator. Remove the top radiator hose from the inlet. Unbolt the inlet, and pull the thermostat out for replacement.
