You can not clean a hardwood floor with baby powder. It would make a much bigger mess. You can fix a squeaky floor with it though.

Take up the floor, put down a layer of felt or other soft insulator and replace the floor making sure to make all the joints tight. Lacquer the floor and make sure the lacquer penetrates the joints to glue them together.
