HO2S Heater Control Circuit High (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
symptoms
Other than the MIL light illuminating you may not notice any performance issues.
cause
A short in the O2 sensor heater circuit or the sensor itself
A faulty O2 sensor heater
Wiring or connectors are broken or frayed to the sensor or relay
Bad PCM or ECM
The fix
Correct wiring short or loose connector found in inspection.
and/or
Replace the bank 1 sensor 2, O2 sensor
Replace PCM if circuit has failed and no wiring issues present, good O2 sensor
That's the code for the o2 sensor downstream of the cat converter. Replace that.
A 2005 Hyundai Elantra with less than 100,000 miles is still eligible for coverage under the manufacturer's warranty. Transmission slip could be any number of things, but the cheapest fix is to ensure the proper transmission fluid is being used. If the recommended fluid is being used, then the best solution is to take it to the dealership and request a warranty repair.
It was just a wire that was diconnected, go up under the dash board and reconnect it
it is probably the thermostat any one can change one on a Hyundai they cost under $15.00
Umm.. get an front end alignment.. and tires balanced ;)? may be??
could be as cheap as 40 bucks for a flush if its a automatic or a whole new tranny which will be over a 1000.
By fixing whatever is wrong. The light only comes on when there is a problem. Fix it, and three drive-cycles later the light will go out on its own.
