Check the bulbs they are double filamented -smaller for brake lights larger for tailights Check the fuse Check the stop light switch usually located at the upper end of the brake pedal under dash area
Check the fuse, check the bulbs and check the brake light switch, it should be one of those.
Just a suggestion, check your trailer lights harness for corrosion. They were taking the dash lights down in my chevy.
Ensure relays and parking brake switch are properly functioning.

It depends on the exact problem. If it's that both brake lights in the back do not work and the middle one works, it could be your turn signal switch.

Sounds like your brake switch is bad, it should be under the dash where the brake pedal comes down. It has a pin coming out the touches the brake lever.
