This answer is in relation to a Matiz on a 51 plate. The surround is removed by unscrewing 4 screws around where the speedo display is situated, and another screw at the back of the compartment below the radio. after this the surround pulls off. To refit, the surround just pushes back on and replace the screws.
If you are asking about the small circlip that holds the locking plate down, it goes on top of the locking plate. There should be a spring on top of the turn signal cam then the locking plate goes on top of that. A special locking plate depressor is required to hold the locking plate down, then the circlip holds the locking plate in place when the depressor tool is removed. Hope that makes sense and works for you.
The recommended tyre pressures for a 1999 T reg. 0.8 SE Daewoo Matiz, according to the plate by the drivers (R/Hnd drive) door jamb is; 30 psi. (2.1 bar) front and 30 psi. (2.1 bar) rear, up to 3 passengers. 30 psi. (2.1 bar) front and 34 psi. (2.3 bar) rear, full load. Hope this is useful to someone!

Once you get past all of the other parts and get to the locking plate, the plate itself needs to be pushed back either with a special tool or simply some other person pushing it back. The latter option requires fairly strong fingers. Once the plate is pushed back a hog ring is revealed that must be removed (possible with a small flathead) so the locking plate can slide off.
Next to the driver's seat, between the seat and the sill plate is a pair of levers. The front one opens the "Hood" and the rear lever opens the "Trunk". As long as your Central Locking System is working, and you unlocked the car with the key fob, they will allow them both to open. If your central locking system is not working, they are locked and will open neither.
No, you can not deactivate If it's a W reg (2000 plate) 0.8 then pull the glove box right out. This does take a bit of force but it goes back in. There is a thick yellow wire that you can't miss with a connector in the middle. Disconnect that and job done. There will be a light, bottom left, on the dash that tells you it's off. I should imagine this works on most models.
The Main Central Thrust is a major geological fault where the Indian Plate has pushed under the Eurasian Plate along the Himalaya.
a tectonic plate fault-
There isn't a remote trunk release on mine (i.e. from inside the cabin). The trunk unlocks on the central locking and/or can be unlocked with the key The release lever for the trunk lid is beneath the lock between the license plate lights. It's a chromed lever
