there isn't one it is an electronic sensor in the transmission check your connections and if they are good then the sensor needs replacing
A 2000 Jeep does not have a speedometer cable.
all electronic no cable
My guess would be that there isn't any speedometer cable, it is probably electronic.
There is no speedometer cable. MPH is calibrated using a speed sensor. If your speedometer is not working, you have a bad speed sensor module.
A speedometer cable for a 2000 S10 can be purchased from any auto parts store. If not kept in stock, the store can special order the part.
1) Locate the speedometer cable attachment to the transaxle (just behind the intake manifold on the drivers side USA models) 2) Disconnect the electrical connector form the speed sensor 3) Remove the screw and retaining clip from the speedometer cable (completely move them out of the way so they do not fall into the transmission) 4) Remove the speedometer cable 5) Fluid should be between the top and bottom of the speedometer cable gear 6) Fill as needed 7) Check o ring on the speedometer gear housing replace it if it is damaged 8) Re-install the speedometer cable assembly, retainer, bolt, and electrical connector Remember the Escort uses automatic transmission fluid in the manual transmission for the 1991 - 2000 models' If you want to change the fluid Drain the fluid (drain plug on the bottom of the transmission) Re-install the drain plug. Remove the speedometer as stated above Add 2.9 quarts of Mercon ATF to the transmission Re-install Speedometer cable
The VSS vehicle speed sensor on top of the transmission is faulty.

As far as I know the 2000 Ford Escort sedan has a SOHC engine rated at ( 114 horsepower ) and the Ford Escort ZX2 has a DOHC - Zetec engine rated at ( 130 horsepower ) * both engines are 2.0 liters in size *
If it is not your speedo cable then it is probably a gear inside the speedometer. I fixed mine with superglue!
Speedometers are not driven with a cable anymore, they are electronic.
This is a common problem ,check your fuses.
