If the Polaris 50 Scrambler only runs for about five seconds and shuts off, it could be a problem with the idle setting. This type of ATV has an adjustment screw on the carburetor for turning the idle up. This should fix the problem.

Usually the float valve in the carb is bad . The valve will not stop the fuel and it runs down the cylinder into the crankcase .

You might be able to but it depends on how it is bent. Many different ways to fix it but you want to make sure that the fix does not weaken the frame, but instead strengthens it.
