Best way to flush a PS system is slowly. Empty the PS Pump reservoir with something like a turkey baster. (BIG eye dropper). Replace with fresh fluid, drive car for an hour or two and repeat. Keep doing this until the fuid stays clean. This technique will minimize breaking junk loose in the system and damaging seals.
Rack and Pinion with power assist.
It is not necessary to flush the power steering system in a car. However, you should check the power steering fluid level in the car each month.
You will screw your steering system. You need to flush steering system ASAP. And of course do not drive with engine oil in steering.
On top of the power steering pump dummy
You could get an oil change as soon as possible to flush the system.
Remove the belt from your 1992 Chevy Lumina power steering pump. Remove the power steering pump hose. Remove the power steering pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new power steering pump.

Flush the system immediately and install the correct fluid. Oil is too thick for the PS system.
check power steering oil. if the oil is dirty and burnt ,yaes it needs flush otherwise no power steering does not need flushing unless there is a problem
Bad juju. Don't do it. If you've already done it, you'll probably have to have the power steering system flushed; brake fluid has significantly different characteristics from power steering fluid. Agree with above. It's pretty caustic, flush and get it out of there before you have problems.
