You wait until the car is stone cold. You remove the pressure cap that is on top of the radiator. You also unscrew the lower tap on the radiator and allow the coolant to run into a separate container not on the ground or pavement. You also remove the hose that is attached to the cars overflow plastic container. Once all of these have been unscrewed and removed and opened you take a garden hose and run fresh water through the radiator's top opening as well as through the over flow plastic container. Remember to tighten the lower screw and re attach the over flow tube before putting water and fluids back into the system.
At least every 50,000 mi. I would flush it at the same time.
Do you mean flush the oil (not recommended) or flush the coolant?
there isnt one after 1996
you might need a machine but what i do is disconnect a big hose from the raddiator thendrain into a pan refill and burp all the air out
That means you have to perform your regular maintenece, could mean its time for an oil change, trans flush, coolant flush, tuneup, brake flush. Anyone of those or all of them
To flush an engine of coolant in the engine of a Kian Spectra refer to the manual. Auto manuals can be purchased at auto part retails or in bookstores.
If coolant is rusty or dirty - yes
It may mean a scheduled maintenance is required, which at the minimum is an oil change. However, it can also mean more intensive maintenance is required, such as coolant flush/replace, transmission flush/replace, brake flush/replace, a tuneup (replace hoses, spark plugs, etc.).
DO NOT FLUSH the coolant system on a northstar. Drain the coolant, replace with 50/50 Dexcool and fresh clean water, and you're good to go. Especially NEVER NEVER buy a "Coolant Flush" at a dealer or quicky-lube place. All you'll get is the previous sucker's engine gunk pumped in to your engine.
Coolant is flushed from the radiator of a 1997 Honda Accord by opening the petcock and allowing the system to drain. The petcock is then closed, the system filled with water, and a flush added to the radiator to cleanse the system.
You still need to flush the engine block and heater core.
Ive never heard of draining coolant plugs except on a diesel engine . Once you drain the coolant and flush the system it should be fine
