why 4 wheeler has neutral gear in the center of all gears?
There is no drive in a standard transmission car. In most cases you will have reverse, neutral, 1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear, 4th gear, and 5th gear.
If it has 4wheel drive, put it in neutral on the 4wheel drive shifter and put the regular shifter in 4th gear, if not I cant help you.AnswerIf it has 4wheel drive, put it in neutral on the 4wheel drive shifter and put the regular shifter in 4th gear, if not I cant help you.
From the neutral gear position with the neutral light illuminated, press down on the shift lever, for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears, lift the lever with your foot one time for each gear.
neutral, one position down will be 1st, then going upwards direction through or past neutral will be 2 nd gear, one position up 3rd, aother up 4th, another 5th and lastly one up 6th gear. And then the precise opposit when you down shift.
From neutral One down and four or five up depending on year and model. This would make the pattern: 1st Neutral 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and possibly 6th
Back lever to change up, front lever to change down. Front down for 1st Back down (front up) for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. Levers will 'lock' in 1st and top gear; the levers will not press down any more. Neutral is a half press between 1st and 2nd gear.
First gear is up and to the left, straight back for 2nd, up and to the right for 3rd, straight back for 4th, and all the way up and to the right for 5th. Reverse is neutral pushed all the way to the right and push down.
on a 2000 intrigue; car does not shift into 3rd gear or 4th gear. 1st 2nd gear ok
press B while in 3rd gear
There is no 5th gear overdrive, only 4th gear
The message '4th gear ratio incorrect' can indicate that there is a problem with the solenoid for the torque converter. This is code 54 on a Mitsubishi Galant.
Most likely the shifting fork is worn within the transmission. You did not say what car but most late models have no adjustment. This problem usually shows up in the highest gear. Sorry.
