How do you get a divorce from someone if you don't know where they are and haven't been together in over 6 years?

There is a method where you can apply for a divorce without knowing where the other party is.
Provided you can show the court that you have exhausted all avenues to locate the other party. For example last known address, family members, last known employment etc.
You then take out an application for Leave to Dispence with service of the divorce application on the other party.
They generally do take a little bit longer but that is how you would go about it.

2) You need to do an online search for the person. Just type in his/her name. Also search by looking for "locate a person" sites, some of which cost nothing.
3) If these two methods are not enough, you may want to hire a private investigator. A good P.I. will be able to tell you within less than one hour how hard it will be for them to find who you're looking for.
