A euro penny is worth as much a penny in Europe i believeExplanation and correctionThe coin is almost universally referred to as a "euro cent" in contrast to the American practice of calling the smallest coin a "penny" even though it, too is a technically a cent. The exchange rate between the euro and the dollar changes, but as of laate 2009 it was roughly €1.00 = $1.50, so that would translate to €0.01 = 1.5¢ (note that there is no equivalent of a "cents sign" for euro cents!).
