Depends on who you are. Well not really, for girls it's just less exercise than for a guys.

Run at least 3 times a week. And run until you are very very tierd. I would say run long distance. Then do lot's of crunches also know as sit ups. Do them every day. And try to increase every 3 or 2 days. Do push ups also, it helps. The main thing is to run and to crunches ( sit ups ). and you have to do them every time on maximum. After work out who have to be tired that means that you worked hard enough. Trust me you'll see results even faster. Oh yea try to increase distance and crunches every time you feel you can do more.

Crunches are good for getting flat stomachs, as long as you have a mat underneath your back. Using weights during ab exercises can hurt your back, and you can get permanent back problems.

Throughout the day, try to suck in your stomach as much as possible. This helps a lot, and burns fat around your stomach.

If you can [safely] get back up into a standing position using just your stomach muscles after doing a back bridge, doing those a few times a day would definitely help you get a flatter stomach.

Another good short exercise you can do before a shower is lie flat on your back on the ground, put your legs together and lift them up to about a 45 degree angle. Hold them there as long as you can.

As you do all these exercises, you'll be building up muscle. To stretch out your stomach muscles, you could do a back bridge, or simply stretch your arms up and back. While standing, put both your arms up and your hands one on top of another, as if you were about to dive into a pool. Suck in your stomach, and push your arms as far back past your head as possible arching your back, keeping your arms fully extended. The more you suck in your stomach, the more you should feel your muscles stretch.
