Well, we all go through this painful experience in life. I hate to say this, but it sounds like your friend has outgrown you, and there's nothing you can do about it. I would say you should talk about it with your friend and either agree to both like him, or both give up on him. What I normally do with my friends is tell them my feelings but then let the boy decide. In the end, it is really his choice.
