How do you get a mutated zombie on zombie farm?

The plants around the zombie (the 3x3 grid centered on your zombie) need to be fully developed and ready to harvest. Do not click on the plants until you have harvested your zombie or you will not get a mutation!

For 3 brains there is a statue/golem you can buy that will make ALL mutations 100% successful. If not, you will have a 1/4 chance usually. So If you have 8 crops surrounding your zombie you will usually get at least 2 mutations sometimes more!

You have to get a zombunkin and then plant him then you make a triangle with 1 or 2 plants around the zombunkin. if you cheat it will not work you can get two mutations on one zombie. more the mutations the better.

Plant crops around the zombie. However, somtimes, the mutation will fail. But don't worry, you can always TRY and TRY! ^^

Plant a zombie next to a nonzombie plant so they are touching, and try to make them be harvested at the same time. Unless you have the mutant monolith, you only have a chance.
