pat them and love them

ANSWER

much agree with above poster, give them a treat or 2 but not too many as they may get travel sick maybe dont have too many loud noises and make sure they have some water before and possible during and dont worry too much cats adapt brilliantly and will no doubt be fine once its all done if a little put out.

my cat was a whinge when we moved he was a house cat and we had to walk in the street for a bit, which he was not happy with, and even pood a little in his basket but when we got there he was fine, absolutely fine.

good luck and happy house moving

House cats have difficulty moving into new houses because they may be unfamiliar with the environment and there may be a lot of unfamiliar scents and smells, noises and objects If your cat is an outdoor cat, it is best to keep them inside for 2-3 weeks so they are familiar with the new house, smells and objects.

It is best when you let your cat outside of the new house for the first time to supervise them like you would supervise children, even putting a cat harness/cat lead on them you can assure they will not run away.

Its simple getting cats to now a new place does take some time here's your answer if you are moving house its best to put the cat/s into a cage. Then still keeping the cats in the cage put them in a lit room for about 30 minutes alone. Next take the cats out of the cage and let them have a walk around their new surroundings DO NOT LET THEM OUT OF THE HOUSE!! If necessary get a LITTER TRAY for them to excrete then after a couple of days / weeks let them out (make sure they are not unattended) watch the cats if necessary Finally the cat/s should be getting used t their surrounding's Thank you Georgia cooke xxx Love you meggs

Some cats settle in very quickly, but other cats take time. They hide and don't want to be seen. It is best to let the cat have time to get used to its new surroundings. I let the new cat stay in its own room (of course with litter & food) for a week or two before introducing it to another room or the house. Usually the cat becomes very friendly with me when I bring its food and water. I pet the new cat a lot to reassure the new cat that this is its new home and we love it. After a time the new cat feels safe and comfortable in its new surroundings and I gradually let it roam. You will have to be patient with the cat. Its body language will let you know when it is ready for the new home.

You could put it in a room with a smooth ticking clock because the ticking will remind the kitten of it's mother's heartbeat. Putting old towels or clothing for the kitten to sleep on helps as your smell will help comfort the kitten.

Trust. Let the cat get used to the enviroment, then make him/her trust you. Like if she/he is sleeping, lay down with them, comfort them, and kiss them.

Your kitten just came to your house yesterday he is not eating or drinking or peeing?

I'll answer the question that seems to be asked here; What do you if your kitten is not eating, drinking, or peeing after the day you bring it home? Well, there are three things; stress from just being brought home, maybe a small cold, or a disease. The most likely is the stress from being brought home. The kitten needs time to get used to its new surroundings. If you think a cold may be coming on, monitor the kitten a little bit more. If you see symptoms of ANYTHING, call your local vet.
