A pesticide license or private applicator license can be obtained by first contacting your local extension office. If you are unsure go to http://texasextension.tamu.edu and find your local office there. At several times during a year licensing classes are held. Usually only a minimal charge is required to take the course that will prepare you to pass the test. The test is proctored by Texas Department of Agriculture and a small fee is required.
