There is no way to make a portal in minecraft Pocket Edition as of 0.8.1

But you may make a Nether in your world, just put the portal in the correct pattern and your surroundings turn into the Nether!

How to make a Nether Reactor: place 4 gold blocks in the corner and place cobblestone everywhere else. Then place more cobblestone on the gold blocks and place the Nether Reactor Core in the middle, then place the cobble stone on the Core and on air. (X: 3, Y:3, Z:3)
