As an unofficial white date docter, yes it sounds wierd, you have to try to act as shy, if not shyer, than him. Right now, he probalbly feels unfamiliar with you as a potential date, so some guys are shy at the beginings. But don't worry, when he gets used to you, he will come right out of that shell and maybe be one of the best boyfriends you get. In the buisness, it sometimes seems take charge guys start out knights in shining armor, but end up to controlling. Not in every case. Trust me, I'm a guy, I knows what i be talkin about.

∙ 13y agoAct cute! Smile at him when he's by! About 95% of the time he'll smile back if he see's you. Shy boys don't talk to girls easily, try starting a conversation with him first. It'll take some pressure off of him. Let him know your interested: tell him that he's cute, funny, sweet or smart. And last let him know your not like other girls, stand out!

∙ 8y agowell i am also really shy around guys and find it hard to make sure they like me and be around them. so what i do is copy that guy and go along with what he is doing. it makes it more comfortable and not so awkward. like if he is messing with ur hair just do it back. and if u know he is really shy you will most the time have to make the first move. so mess with his hair first in a messing around kinda way. then if he does it back do things more flirty. and have fun with it. that makes it very romantic and fun for the both of u. all you need is the time with him
