On our 2004 we had the same problem and it was something with remote starter it was only 30.00 part and has worked great since!
Take it to an authorized dealer parts department , along with proof of ownership, and they can make you the extra kep. I was told it is best to make a third key and keep it in your lockbox with title, and you won't need to have all the ownership issues to make a replacement again.
When you open you back gate you should have a round knotch on the right side and the extention that fits the jack also fits the spare tire release. Counterclockwise, and that should work. No special or spare key needed just your tools provided.

If keys are lost to a vehicle call someone to bring a spare if possible. If not then call a locksmith to have them replaced.
I believe it should be attached to the lug wrench that is stored in behind the removable plastic panel in the cargo area on the drivers side
This must be done at the dealership. I did not have a spare and lost my only key. Key had to be special ordered. The car towed to the dealership and programmed. $400.00 for new key and keyless remote.
