Mother mice have to lick their babies' bellies to make them defecate. If you are fostering an abandoned baby mouse, you'll need to stimulate this after every feeding. Try rubbing their bellies with a damp q-tip. Do this until they poop and pee. If you don't, things could get backed up in their tiny systems and caused major problems.
