Mother mice have to lick their babies' bellies to make them defecate. If you are fostering an abandoned baby mouse, you'll need to stimulate this after every feeding. Try rubbing their bellies with a damp q-tip. Do this until they poop and pee. If you don't, things could get backed up in their tiny systems and caused major problems.
At around 14 days old.

AnswerI would continue to swab until their eyes are open and they are moving around the cage fine.My baby mouse when she opened her eyes at 2 weeks she got into a flea type stage she didn't jump around to much but she got to a point she didn't like me holding her up and helping her go potty and she could do it on her own so will yours.
They are smaller
Their eyes open around 2 weeks of age.
With their eyes.
