Genes on DNA make proteins by transcription and translation.

Different alleles mean different proteins which consequently stand for different phenotypes.

It is explicit in the case of one's blood type since proteins like antigen A or antigen B directly lead to different phenotypes.

In some cases of shapes, DNA information expression may be implicit. For example. a deficient enzyme coded by recessive alleles fails to turn sugars into starch for storage in a seed. Therefore, the seed swells with plenty of water flowing in(osmosis). When it gets dried, it turns wrinkled. On the other hand, the dominant alleles express a round shape due to the normal enzyme that remains the content full of starch rather than water.

The amino acid sequence is a code per se that allows for the information to be 'stored' if you will. The protiens activate different genes to make you the way you are.

What molecule is used to store genetic information?

DNA stores genetic information but other molecule which also serve as genetic material is RNA which is found generally in plant viruses. So both DNA & RNA are genetic material. What is the entire genetic make up of an organism called?

it relates to the phenotype A phenotype is how the organism looks based on which genes are expressed. A genotype is how the organism is genetically structured, including recessive genes that are not apparent when looking at the organism. Some diseases, like colorblindness, are recessive and are only expressed when there is not a dominant gene to override it. The entire genetic makeup of an animal is its genome.
