It depends on your starting and ending points. Your best bet is to take a bus to a subway line in the Bronx, and then transfer to either the E,F,R,or V for places near Queens Boulevard and Hillside Avenue, or the 7 line for places along Roosevelt Avenue and Queens Boulevard, or the J/Z lines for places near Jamaica Avenue, or the M line for places near Ridgewood and Middle Village. The Q44 goes from the Bronx Zoo to Jamaica traveling via Main Street, and the QBx1 goes from CoOp City to Flushing. You can transfer to the M60, which goes to LaGuardia Airport via Astoria Boulevard at any subway station along 125th Street. Once in Queens, you can transfer to you Queens bus line or walk if it is close to the major subway routes mentioned above. The Bronx is just north of Manhattan. The two boroughs are separated by a skinny stretch of river that branches off of the Hudson River, called the Harlem River. Several subway lines run between Manhattan and the Bronx: the 4-5-6 (the green line), the 1 and 2 of the 1-2-3 (the red line), and the B and D of the B-D-F-V (the orange line). See the Related Link below for a complete New York City subway map.
There are several subway lines in the Bronx, but most do not go directly to Queens. If you take the (1), (2), (4), (5), (6), <6>, (B), or (D) trains, you can transfer at some point in Manhattan to a train that goes to Queens from Manhattan directly or goes to Queens via Brooklyn.
Alternatively, you may take the Q44 Limited Bus from the Bronx directly to Queens. The (6) and <6> trains at Parkchester can transfer you to the Q44 Limited Bus.
Well it depends your starting point and your ending point, it also depends on your transportation. If you are taking a train it will take about 45 minutes or longer.
