It is advisable not to use metal putty knife and then scrub any stubborn sections using a solvent. Soaking a rad with adhesive remover is also a big help to get rid of the stubborn bits of glue off your oak planks or hardwood flooring. :)

Rub the edges with Goof Off and it will soon peel off. The glue cannot stick effectively to the hard, shiny surface.
