If you are trying to take the music that you have in iTunes with you to the new computer then there is a utility that will allow you to backup your music and any playlists that you have in your current itunes. To do this go to File, then Library, then Back up to disc. Once you install itunes on your new computer you can insert the discs you created and it will restore all the music and settings you had on your previous computer.
If the itunes is properly updated it will ask you if you would like to transefere the music onto the new itunes on the new computer. and then all your music will be on the new computer:)
because your music is saved on the old computer. You are logging in to your iTunes store account so you can continue to purchase music. This is separate from the music you already have in your iTunes library. you will need to copy your existing music library from the old computer to the new computer to access it with the new iTunes software.
