Do some research by going to www.goarmy.com, then you have to contact a local US Army recruiter by either walking in to the office or by calling and setting an appointment. You will take a practice test at the recruiting station and if you score high enough they will set you up to take the ASVAB, once you scores have been posted 24-72 hours the recruiter will have you come back in to look at jobs (MOS's), if you see something you want and are ready to make that commitment we can reserve that MOS for you right there on the spot, that job and incentive is yours and cannot be changed unless you become ineligible for that select job.

Prior to going to Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) for you Physical you will need to have all you source documents (originals only High School/College Diploma/Degree or Transcripts for High School Seniors/Juniors, Birth Certificate, Social Security Card and a State issued ID or Drivers License), you will fill out a packet with your last 10 years of Employment, Residences, Education, References, etc... Once your recruiter has put all the information in the computer you will sign a Medical Pre-Screen, a release for a Background check/Court check, tattoo review form, take a Urinalysis (Drug Test), and have a Sex Offender search run.

Once all the documents have been filled out and approved by MEPS you will be scheduled for a Physical at MEPS. The physical consists of another Urinalysis (Drug Test), Height/Weight check, Eye Exam, Hearing Test, they will draw blood to check your blood type and check for HIV/AIDS, have a blood pressure reading, from there you will go into a large room (males with males and females with females) undress down to your underwear and you will be examined for tattoo's, scars from surgery or stitches and be evaluated on your abilities to perform a duck walk, from there you will go in to room by yourself with a Doctor and there he/she will ask you to drop you pants and underwear down to your ankles:

Males, with your penis and testacies exposed the doctor will ensure you have both testicles check for visible signs of STD's on your penis or there around as well you will turn your head and cough checking for Hernia's, from there they will ask you to turn around and spread you butt checks exposing you anus, there they are checking for anything out of the ordinary (there is no penetration for those who are 40 years old and younger being you do not require a Prostate Exam).

Females the doctor will check your breasts for lumps and things that are not normal, (not a groping session) they will also check you vagina by slightly spreading your Labia to check for signs of child birth and visible signs of STD's in and around your vagina (there is no penetration in the vagina, you will not be getting a Pap Smear). Just be aware most doctors at the MEPS are males so be prepared to expose your breasts and vagina to a male doctor, they are professional individuals and try to make the process as quick and comforting as possible.

After the medical process is complete you will go back to the Army office and wait to be seen by a Guidance Counselor, when you are called in you will either choose your job that you qualify, your term of service (years of enlistment) or verify that the job and your term of service you choose in the Recruiting Station is that in which you want to keep. After you have completed that part you will go through a Security Interview in which the will go back over you information that you provided you recruiter with and verify names, dates, address and employment are correct, you will sign a document that allows the Army to run you credit and sign a medical release form, once complete with that you will go to another Security section in which they will get your finger prints to run a FBI finger print check. From there you will go back to the control desk and sign up for the next swear in time. During the swear in process you will officially sign you contract and you have enlisted in to the Delayed Entry Program (DEP) or US Army Reserve. From there you will go back to the Army office and make 3 copies of you contract and they will give you a backpack and a packet to give to you recruiter.
