If your Ford truck is an F series or one of the Explorer sized SUV's or larger and it is a mid 90's to early 2000's all you need is a log, flat-tipped screw driver.

On the driver side door, at the door handle: raise the door handle and notice a larger hinge opening at the rear. Insert the long screw driver here gently and move it around until you see the door lock move inside. When this happens, you know you are against it. This is a threaded rod, so there will be no problem using the screw driver to move the lock mechanism up.

The screw driver must be about twelve inches long or longer to accomplish this, and do not attempt to use this to steal a Ford vehicle; it could render the ignition dead until reset.
