How do you get over a high school sweetheart that has been going on for six years on and off?

It takes time like any grieving process. The grieving process isn't much different than losing a loved one to death because it's a death of a very long and close relationship. Many young people have school sweethearts and a few end up marrying. In ways it's best for you it ended this way as you are both young and there are so many choices in life for both of you as well as it sets you both free to experience many things in life, go to college and get a better education or work on your career or business venture to travel to different countries. These things may not seem important to you now, but trust me, they are. Your heart is breaking and you have some good memories. Don't sit around and mope but get out with friends and try to have a little fun. Life can have twists and turns and you just never know, sometime in the future you could meet again and get back together on a more serious note. NEVER waste your life on one person and always forge forward. Just about every person has had heartache in their life and most have survived. Good luck!
