How do you get past the cell stage and unlock the creature stage in spore?

To progress to the creature stage you have to eat (meat for carnivores and plant mater for herbivore's until the bottom bar if flashing with arrows pulsing across it. Then click the advance button the arrows are pointing to. This will bring you to a screen that shows you how you handled the cell stage and then a Creator where you can add legs. After that is a short cut scene and after that you will be in the creature stage. Simple.

∙ 15y agoONCE YOU GET BIG ENOUGH, HIT THE "EVOLUTION" BUTTON. THAT'S THE LITTLE BLUE RECTANGLE IN THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER WITH 3 CREATURES ON IT. HOPE THIS HELPS!

yes, but you must unlock that stage buy playing enough of the previous stage. For example, get to a certain part of creature stage, and you will unlock Tribal Stage. 1. Choose a new planet. 2. Civilzation determines your second Archetype benefactor (Which will choose between one of the two Archetype pools, I,E Shaman and Zealot. Shaman is Middle-Friendly, and Zealot is Middle-War.) Space eveloves your Space Ship.

How do you get to be an omnivore in cell stage of spore?
Once you are out of the cell stage you are stuck with what you ended up with (herbivore/omnivore/carnivore). However, a way around this (not for the available parts but for widening your food selection) is when you leave the cell stage you go to the screen where you can edit your creature like a cell, but you have the option of legs. While you're there you can make your creature have whatever cell mouths you unlocked. If you want to be able to eat both plants and meat as a creature you can add the omnivore mouth (if unlocked) or you can add both the herbivore mouth and the carnivore mouth at the same time and this will allow you to eat both plants and meat until you get rid of them in a later edit.
