When you first start your computer you will most likely be presented with the ThinkPoint start screen. When you see this screen, do not click on any of the buttons. Instead click on the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete button at the same time to bring up the Windows Task Manager. The best way to do this keyboard combination is to hold down the Ctrl and Alt key at the same time and then press the Delete key while holding the other buttons down. Once you do this, it will successfully launch the Task Manager or screen where you can select the Task Manager to be run.
When the Task Manager starts, click on the Processes tab. When you are at the above screen, scroll down through the list of running processes and left-click once on the hotfix.exe process. Once the hotfix.exe process is higlighted, click on the End Process button. When you press this button, Windows will ask if you are sure you want to terminate the process. You should press the Yes button to terminate it.
Now click on the File menu and select New Task (Run...). When the Create New Task prompt appears, type explorer.exe into the Open: field and press the OK button. After a minute or so you should be back at your Windows desktop.
Download Malwarebytes, SUPERAntispyware or any other anti-spyware program and remove ThinkPoint virus from your computer.
Use antimalware software, e.g. Malwarebytes Antimalware, SUPERAntispyware or Hitman Pro. These programs are free and should take care of the ThinkPoint virus.
Install anti-virus software and it will automatically get rid of the virus.
Stuxnet virus is more dangerous than ThinkPoint malware. Stuxnet spies on and reprograms industrial systems, the first to include a programmable logic controller (PLC) rootkit, and the first to target critical industrial infrastructure. ThinkPoint is a rogue security program, it can't delete files from your computer or steal personal information.
You should install a good anti-virus in your computer.
a computer virus is a hacking software that you download on your computer anti-virus is the software that gets rid of viruses
It is a virus that stops your computer at startup. They are very effective because you cant turn on your computer to get rid of it.
I personally don't like STOPzilla. STOPzilla messed up my computer- big time. After downloading STOPzilla, I found that every time I got on, STOPzilla did a 10 minute scan.... where I couldn't acsess anything. It did this scan weathere I wanted it to or not. Also, STOPzilla, I believe, allowed viruses to be downloaded on my computer. A week after I downloaded STOPzilla, ThinkPoint, a supposed "cure" showed up without me downloading or buying anything. ThinkPoint made the internet unacseseble. After reaserch, I found that ThinkPoint was, infat, "let in" by STOPzilla. ThinPoink, a known virus, installed other virus "cures". For example: Antivirus Action ThinkPiont Version0.2 and other files. You can reaserch STOPzilla at other places, but you will only get how wonderful it is. IT IS NOT WONDERFUL. My mother had to do a complete recovery on my computer to get rid of Antivirus Action. And where did this come from? STOPzilla. I advise you not to download it.
To get rid of a virus, first run a scan on the computer with some anti-virus software. The software will detect any viruses and then there is usually an option to repair and get rid of them.
I have posted a link to a forum where you can get help. These computer experts will help you get rid of your virus for free, they do accept donations. http://forums.tomcoyote.org/
Viruses can mess up your computer and is you scan for them you can get rid of them and know what is messing up your computer is you have a virus.
You can get a USB anti-virus program using another computer then you can plug it into your computer with the virus and then perform a scan and it should be completed by removing or to quarantine the virus and your computer should not have the virus anymore.
Anti-virus software.
