If you don't vent, you will explode. Try getting a punching bag to vent upon. Its exercise for the muscles, and healthy for taking aggression out on an inanimate object. Also, try to find out why you are angry and in reality, who's fault is it anyway. Life is 10% what happens and 90% how you react to it. Re-think why you get angry and change how you react to it. If you cant get this resolved, be adult enough to admit you have issues and seek medical advice, or just talk it over with your friends or family. Anger is a natural emotion of the body and it just takes self control. When it harms yourself or others, its not natural anymore and proper guidance should be sought out.

When attempting to resolve an anger issue, it's been my experience that counting to ten before expressing it, can be truly helpful. Admittedly, it's an old cliche, but I have personally witnessed it's benefit. Moreover, trying not to dwell on the object provoking the anger also has a diminishing effect. Lastly,"kicking a dog," can work wonders as well. "Kicking a dog" is not meant to be taken literally, as I'm sure you know. Finding some method of venting, a release valve, such as physical exercise, stomping about in the yard, even obtaining, and using (especially if this is a recurrent problem), a sort of punching bag, helps blow off steam.

Try thinking of your anger as pressure building up inside a boiler: if it's not released, the boiler will surely explode. The solution used most often, is installing a pressure-release-valve. The challenge with anger is the same. Although ensuring the release is non-destructive ... is key.

2. take some ice cubes and trow them at a brick wall or anything that cant be damaged band if your angry at a person just think that is them.

3. Write in your diary about them (if it is a person) or read.

4. draw a picture of the person and when your finishe tear it into peices.

Before you let it bubble over, walk away from the situation and have someone else intervene if the person you are having conflict with tries to pursue the issue. Go outside, close your eyes, and take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it, then release through your mouth and do it again. Count the breaths going backward from 10 or even 100. Walking as you do this helps as well.
