You can't. The more you try and figure out how to stop it, the more you're going to become infatuated with that person. But if it's infatuation, I wouldn't worry. It should go away like most puppy crushes and/or lust do.

∙ 13y agoInfatuation is usually a result of loneliness.When we make ourself believe that something will never occur with us,that something becomes infatuation and we think of it multiple times due to the fact that we don't posses that something.
The ONLY WAY OF getting rid of infatuation is that we make ourselves believe that the present is everything and we should not think of what might or might not happen with us in the future.Living a confident and happy life can lead to reduction and later complete exit of infatuation from our lives.
