hi mike, we have had a few of these types that nothing can get rid of completely and i have found that once i have exhausted my anti virus/Trojan and adware removers the only way to get rid of this is to backdate your PC by one or two days or even just to the morning of the day it arrived on your PC. if you are windows you should have made a setup/diagnostic backup disc when you loaded up first time. just pop that into your floppy drive let it load itself, go into the help section (normally option1) as soon as you get the help section close it (normally keys alt f + x together) but instructions are in the help section. it will then continue to load itself. you will then be faced with a page which will firstly tell you how to restart your PC from dos..ignore this allow the page to fully load and the last line will be A:\ on this line type scanreg/restore and hit enter you will then be given approximately 4 dates to choose from choose a date then when promted hit restart PC and remove floppy at same time. you will then have restored your PC to your chosen date and hopefully before this Trojan arrived if not repeat using an earlier date. i have just had statpage 16bd (17/2/05) and it requires this removal method also. i know this sounds fiddly and long winded but it only takes about 5 mins. good luck I had Startpage 16BD not 5BD.
