Go to the option menu at the top in the line of the menu bar written "Home". On that line you will see another option written as "Format" if you select the picture you want to edit.
Go to "Format"
Now look at the top left corner there is an option "Remove Background". Click on that (remember the pic need to be at selected condition).
Now just edit and remove background as you want moreover as Microsoft Word allows you.
