It depends on what type of new flooring smell you are referring to. If you have recently installed 1 piece floors, or glue placed flooring then the answer is airation. If you are talking about recently refinished wood flooring then the only answer is time. I recently refinished hardwood floors in one room. It took about 2 weeks with the window open and the fan on circulating air to completely remove the smell.
If you smell fumes, you should get out of the room, car, or house. Opening windows will help get rid of the smell.

This is definetly a difficult situation. If you do not have the means to put in new flooring then open all the windows and get ready for some serious elbow grease. Vaccum, mop, scrub and deordorize the flooring. You will definetly need to clean the walls with water and lysol in a bucket changing it out often and when dry, repaint. good luck.

Febreeze works i sprayed it all over my house and now my house smells great!
If it's in the carpet padding, it soaked thru to the wood flooring and it was definitely in the carpet. Pull them up and throw them away. Scrub the wood flooring, let it dry thoroughly, then put on at least 2 coats of sealer. That is the only way to get rid of the smell.
you put garlic and salt all around your house so they can smell it
Leave the windows open for a while. Then put some air freshner all over the house.

The first step to getting a musty smell out of a closed up house is to open the windows. You will also want to burn some candles. Spraying Lysol will also help get rid of the musty smell.
First find the source of the dampness that is causing the smell and fix that issue. You may need to replace drywall or flooring that has become too wet. Otherwise, cleaning with bleach or other mildew killing cleaner should reduce the issue. Make sure you have enough ventilation and air for the air to dry out.
