you can bang it not really hard but hard or this is what i did take the cotten off of a coutip put it in the holes in the back then insted of 3 lights it turns into 2 lights but it takes like 5 minutes then you let it cool off for about 20 minutes then turn it back on and..................................................................................................................

∙ 13y agoTry doing the fan trick using two cotton tube and pulling off one cotton on the other side( each of them pull off one side).
Next when you have pulled off the cotton tube on the other side block the fans behind the Xbox 360.
Then turn it on allowing it to over heat it self and when the fans stop spinning turn it off( still leaving the two cotton tube behind).
After that this time you have to take out the av plug and turn it on again still blocking the fans and again until the fans gives up(stops).
Leave it to rest until it cools down( I'm not sure how long to keep it cool but just feel the xbox 360) and make sure you take out the cotton tubes.
Also making sure it stands up not lying down turning off everything(the power point)
Hopefully it will work again press it on once or twice to check if it's working but do not play it straight away because this will cause the red ring of death again, leave it for a fill days and it should get up and running again.
Make sure not to play too much.
There's also other tricks on you tube but If all else fails call Microsoft and they'll send you a new Xbox if you have a warranty.

∙ 13y agoTry looking at the cords and see if there is anything wrong with them if not then look at were they are plugged in and see if anything is wrong if wrong if not then your problem is probley inside the xbox 360 so its best to send it to place were they can fix it.

∙ 12y agoJust turn off your xbox for about a hour, it worked for me! If that doesn't work contact Microsoft. if they cant then try turning off ur xbox 360 again.
